lol, Rangers are done. Out in 5 games...just like last season. I tried to tell Ranger fans last year, it isn't the coaching, it's the players. We can see now, different coach, upgrade in scoring with MSL, another year of experience with the young guns, and the same results.

Good. I hate the ****ing New York Rangers!! Fore!!!!!!!! :p:

Why do hab fans feel the need to come and invade our boards?

it's been better since the guy/girl with the name of our city and the Sens biggest fan was given an asterisk for whatever reason, though I fear he may have been reincarnated as dunsparce or something.

I haven't been rude, or insulting, I came here peacefully, just wanting to explain the reason for the avatar to the guy who took it seriously.

If that's wrong of me, then I'll leave it at that, and won't post again. No need to be sensitive about it.

Sorry if i was rude, there has just been a lot of habs fan coming onto these boards and trolling lately.

It's cool :)
Remember that even if you are neutral, which is usually closest to the truth around here, by going to a team-specific board, that will be seen as trolling because each board looks at things with their own rose-coloured glasses.

Speaking of the Habs, I remember cheering for them during their run with Halak and the great Hall Gill and it wasn't even long ago. It's changed now, maybe because they were underdogs then or perhaps it's because of the playoffs.

If anything I'm glad now that when this little run is over, the backlash against the Hab fanbase will be completely justified.

I have no love for Crosby but Staal is a second-rate bum at best. What a ****ing loser! Sit your ass on the bench you POS!

2 games in a row now... it's quite surprising especially since: http://www.newsday.com/sports/hocke...on-victims-rick-nash-and-marc-staal-1.6396013

Oddly enough, Nash had a high hit on him too tonight, but as soon as he made the hit on Sid, you could tell he felt bad... almost patted him on the back afterwards. They are pretty good friends, actually.

Because they're still smarting over how Ottawa handled their team last year like they were children in a high school rink. It's some sad attempt at trying to convince us that they're much better than last year's team when the reality is they got an extremely favorable match-up against a Lightning team with a sieve in net and now they're cocky because they've won one more game than Boston.

It's kind of sad. You don't see us invading Leafs boards come playoff time trying to convince them about how cool we are now.

Let's get real here. They are a much better team than last spring, and Therrien is a much wiser coach for having been schooled by Paul last spring.

Agreed, they are better. I'm being objective here saying that last years version of the Sens would have a lot of trouble beating this year's version of the Habs.

As amazing as that series was we got pretty damn lucky with Price being hurt, the Scabs limping into the playoffs, that Zibanejad goal counting (I think it was legit but the League has refused goals like it before see: Sedin vs LA in the playoffs a few years ago) and Anderson playing out of his mind

That being said if we had made the playoffs I think we could have beaten them, we match up really well against them as long as the refs don't refuse our goals for no reason, give Montreal late PPs on evident dives and allow bad Montreal goals to stand which were the story lines of the last two games against them

Wish Ottawa would take a page out of the STL book.
Keep the head coach, fire the assistants.

I disagree entirely, everything we've heard indicates a HUGE failure by MacLean to use his assistants. I'm 100% against firing MacLean, but his assistants deserve at least one more year where they are allowed to actually contribute.

Plus let's be honest here

How much does anyone on here really know about how a coaching staff in the NHL functions?

We know a little about who's supposed to do what but there are a lot of dynamics to which we are not privy too
