I think he was pointing out the fact that I used Aho's nickname instead of his real name!Yeah, Slavin is a defenseman.
Gritty might be one of my new favorite things in hockey. The more I look at that face the more absurd and hilarious it gets. Some of the interactions the Flyers PR is already having on Twitter is just priceless.
Or it will become an absolutely beloved mascot the likes of which hockey has never really seen. That thing is such a damn freak show that I can't help but love it already.Philadelphia fans are savage. That thing won't survive the season.

My money says that Stormy's scared that Gritty will turn him into a Roast Pork sandwich.

Um... Last Tango in Paris jokes don't fly anymore in today's world, do they?Just trying to butter him up I see.
I'd be all for picking up the Finnboy, but I'm obviously partial.Anyone interested in taking a flyer on Chris Gibson?
He used to be a pretty good prospect albeit it tricky putting in claims on a G.
On that tune, very poor choice of wording from Stormy.
On another note, @DaveG and I were discussing offline that the Canes have a new Stormy this year. George Brown, who'd been Stormy for about 13 years now, hung up his head to take a job with the Town of Holly Springs. No idea who the current mascot coordinator is, but I noticed Stormy seemed more...animated at the game against the Caps and was interacting with fans in the stands more, dancing during timeouts, and the like.

Yeah, he definitely brought a high level of energy during the preseason. Problem is, can he sustain that through the long 82-game grind, especially during those tough weeknight games against the Rangers and Bruins fans? TBH I could easily see him flaming out early if he's not ready, and I think we'll be doing pretty well if he just makes it through the season without a major injury.
