Man, social media is really making people jaded these days. And I'm not even sure you're wrong!
I wouldn't say it's social media making me jaded...it just seems so fake. Most of the times I've seen this where it's rejected...it's a stunt.
People don't do stuff like this unless they are SURE the person will say yes because of the public embarrassment if they are rejected.

I watched the Sens/Bruins last night and holy shit is Ottawa going to be good. Their top 6 are all under 25 aside from Giroux who fits in perfectly and then you have Shane Pinto as your 3C who was flying last night.

If they can develop a few of their defensemen to play alongside Chabot, like Thomson, Bernard-Docker, and Sanderson they're going to be legit threats for a long time. They do need a long-term goalie solution still but that can be done.

Fiala has played 5 games without a point, 1 goal and 4 assists in 7, does he miss Boldy?

Bruce Boudreau in deep shit again. Canucks 0-5-2, their passionate fans are furious.
Will he be the first coach fired this season?

It wouldn't surprise me. He was hired about a month before their new GM was.

Yeah, a GM who didn't hire him doesn't make it better.
And JT Miller went public to attack the fans, things are going south fast in that camp.

I wonder if walking into that locker room and seeing his spot made McBain regret his choices

He could have easily been on this team, rather than Steel. We are dying for bottom six players with size, nvm C's with size. I do have to wonder about his choice of going to a team with suspect ownership. shortsighted, IMO.

I'll happily take Steel + the 2nd round pick.

He made a smart decision. He would have been in the AHL. Dewar, Jost, and Rossi would have gotten spots over him.

Steel probably still gets signed too.

He would've seen some AHL time, for sure, but it's pretty obvious that this team needs size in the bottom six. Guerin definitely would know this- I am sure he grits his teethe when he sees us icing a 4th line of Dewar, Shaw, and Steel.

Haven't watched a second of McBain this year, so I have no idea if he's much of a loss. Maybe he's just a young version of Fogarty?

He's the one responsible for that though. That's as much his doing as it is Dean's.
