Zac Rinaldo just pummelled Crombeen. I think he landed at least one hard punch after Crombeen had fallen to the ice. Crombeen was dazed and slow to get up.

Yeah, I've always thought that it would make more sense, at least for the playoffs, to use players' regular season results to determine qualcomp.
At this point you're better off looking at the players that a player has played the most against so far. For Kadri, it's (for forwards):
Grigorenko's line in Buffalo.
Hodgson/Vanek's line.
Peverley/Kelley in Boston.
Chimera/Ward in Washington.
For defencemen, he's mostly gotten soft minutes (guys like Ehrhoff, Brennan, Sekera, Ference, etc.) except when the Leafs played the Rangers and he mostly lined up against Ryan McDonagh.
^ Hodgson with a horrible play in the defensive zone, giveaway and Alfredsson scores.
Watching the Buffalo game this afternoon...terribad defense.
It's funny.
After Buffalo signed Ehrhoff and acquired Regehr, people on HF were saying that Buffalo had a top 5 defense in the league. Sure doesn't look like it.

Actually, I'm surprised what a crappy team they have. I thought they were playoff bound for sure. Now, not so much.

Can't win a faceoff. I would think Manny on the team would help actually...
True. They are always chasing the puck.
Did anyone hear the Isles fans cheering when Sid got his face busted open? And we're "classless"...
Maybe we could trade Manny to Buffalo, or Buffalo will sign him in FA.
Of the two, I would say FA.
I know Manny's stock has fallen here, but a faceoff man that wins in his percentage range can be an awfully valuable commodity during the playoffs.
Depends on what we can get for him; if we can get a decent pick, then I would trade him.
I doubt MG would ask him to waive it too. Not worth burning a bridge for what would be at most a mid-round pick when his contract's up in a few months anyway. Still would like him to be a faceoff coach with us too, so there's that.
it'd be bad juju to move malholtra at this point, we just need to grin and bear it until the season is over and hope he doesn't cost us any games (which he's yet to do i think, so i guess he's not a complete detriment)
