Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread or not but even if it was it's worth mentioning it again.

Kudos to Gagliardi (Stars owner) for flying Schiefele on his private jet after the game to get him to his family as quick as possible.

Gilardi was one of the Aquilinis' early partners during their initial ownership of the Canucks. It makes one wonder how differently the franchise might have developed had he remained the principal owner instead.

gaglardi never owned the franchise. he was in negotiations to buy the canucks and approached the aqualinis, who were friends, to come in as partners. the aqualinis turned around and bought the team alone out from under gaglardi. there was a very messy lawsuit between the gaglardis and the aqualinis that the gaglardis lost because a court concluded they were never partners.

gaglardi then bought dallas.
