Jarry going on waivers at 2. How does that work salary wise and is there anyway for the Pens to eat some of it. I wouldn't care to take on his salary but if we could get him at a huge discount would he be worth trying to save? Led the league is shut outs last year.
No, he sucks. Wouldn't help us at all

Holy shit Jarry's contract is like 5.4 mil. fuuuuuucccck that.

Wow now that is an anchor.
That's why I asked about the contract. For the way goalies seem to turn a corner in Raliegh (usually) i thought if it was in the cheap it might be worth a look. Ticker is awful and Ayers played better than he has. But yeah not even a consideration with that contract

Assuming this is true, it’s the least surprising way for Tony to leave a team.

Well at least that would leave little doubt that he's just an asshole, and his bouncing from team to team aren't for political reasons

It was never for political reasons. Tony's views matched with probably 90% of the rest of the NHL. The issue with Tony is: He's an asshole about everything, including politics, and he's a shitty defender. So no one wants him on their team

I didn’t realize that KHL pay is derived from suiting up (no pay while injured) plus heavily bonus oriented.

Thus, it can lead to selfish play which apparently was part of TDA’s issue. Of course, like any argument, the truth is often in the middle and TDA may be a contributor to the mess but not the only bad actor.

Meh. Everyone loves bagging on Tony, and these stories about him grow all by themselves. He could’ve acted like that for one shift….or been perceived to have done so and that still would’ve been the story. It’s hard to get the truth when everyone is jumping to get the clicks and know a good “Tony is a douche” story will get them.

He wasn’t that way with us. He chafed the last season because he wasn’t playing and knew if he didn’t he wasn’t going to have many offers this year.

I’m sure plenty is way overblown, but do you know a lot of hockey players that have been asked to leave at least 4 teams because they aren’t a huge asshole?

He’s only been told to leave one for sure, right? That was in the end kind of interesting since everyone on the team hated Georgiev, presumably more than Tony. Here he left because supposedly family reasons then the click baiters all chime in with stories everyone is going to believe whether they’re true or not.

We brought him back. Couldn’t have had any behind the scene issues for that to happen.

“According to our source” = “trust me Bro”?

You forgot that he was bought out by the Flyers. And I think the "family reasons" was just a common excuse used when players are cut from the KHL. The latest report (the one about him being disliked) comes from a Russian news outlet

He was kicked off at least one junior team. Tampa traded him because of his antics in juniors, the Rangers bought him out, the Flyers bought him out and now SKA benched him and they “mutually parted ways”.

Then theres his observable actions on the ice and in interviews. He’s an asshole. Everyone knows he’s an asshole. HE knows he’s an asshole. How is this so hard to comprehend.

Jeff Sunny Smiles Skinner.
Skinner has played on 4 teams in the last 16 years.
