Pretty accurate.

And, didn't sparklef*** get banned from the arena or did I dream that? Haven't seen anything about him and his shenanigans this season.

I don't know if he was banned, but I can confirm I've not seen him at any games this year. He's kind of hard to miss, especially during pregame.

But, a reddit thread from about a month ago says he's still around the arena, so maybe he was just told to avoid Hanna.

It’s tough, because if it IS family situation, then obviously, that sucks and I hope everything goes well for him and his family. BUT, contracts normally aren’t terminated for what essentially amounts to a leave of absence. And this has been the last few days for that situation:

  • January 11: DeAngelo did not play for SKA in the 3rd period of the match against Dynamo. Rotenberg commented: "This is a hockey situation. We'll see what happens next."
  • Same day: Rotenberg on DeAngelo: "There are no stars in SKA, our team is a star. Only hockey reasons: fulfilling the game task, respect for the team.
  • January 12: Rotenberg sat Deangelo in the match with Dynamo – didn’t even let him on the bench.
  • January 13: DeAngelo has a minus 5 rating in his last 3 games for SKA. The defenseman hasn't scored any points in 4 games in a row.
  • January 14: Rotenberg on DeAngelo's departure: "We are parting as friends, Tony will speak kindly of his time in St. Petersburg. He may still play for SKA - we are leaving the door open"

So it’s certainly possible that it’s a family situation and it affected his play thinking about home. It’s also possible that they’re claiming it’s a family situation to save TDA some face

This person has been stalking DeBrusk for years and moved to Vancouver to "be with him". Thankfully it looks like NHL arenas are aware of this person and their behavior.

Yeah I knew about her issues with DeBrusk in Boston, but moving to Vancouver to follow him is crazy. Especially when it was made clear in Boston that she should stay away from him.

Jarry going on waivers at 2. How does that work salary wise and is there anyway for the Pens to eat some of it. I wouldn't care to take on his salary but if we could get him at a huge discount would he be worth trying to save? Led the league is shut outs last year.

If you pick him up off waivers there is zero retention. The team picking Jarry up off waivers is on the hook for the full salary.

Once Jarry clears waivers, Pittsburgh can still trade Jarry with retention, but I doubt the Penguins are going to retain for 3+ seasons to a level Carolina would stomach for an acquisition.

Pass, Jarry is f***ing awful, I'd rather count on Tokarski/Martin as the #3 than waste money and a spot on him

and said level would be the full f***ing 50% with the way Jarry has played.

No, he’s very, very bad this year.
