Trotz signs Wedgewood and thus trades Askarov, and now trades Wedgewood to Col. for Annunen.
Two goalies with similar stats to Martin on the season traded for each other.

So Martin is the caliber of goalie generally available right now. It's going to take a trade of something significant to find a better goalie.

Best hope for a goalie trade is probably Andersen plus a good asset for Gibson.

I don’t see us going for Gibson, unless it becomes a good deal. I agree with the rest, I think if we add a goalie right now it’s someone similar to Martin who is just as easily moved on once we’re healthy. We’re probably not actually trying to improve on Martin as much as we are protecting ourselves if Martin gets hurt during this time.

I agree with this, and I don’t know why we don’t just do the simple thing and sign Tokarski.

Rangers so bad they won't want to pay Shitsterkin so will send him to Carolina.

Will be the best goalie in franchise history and go to HHoF

I feel bad for TT.....heading towards almost a -50 +/- stat this year. Yikes.

yeah, that's ugly.

As you know, TT isn't a driver of offense. He's a versatile, smart player who, when paired with the right player can be effective, but even when he's not scoring, he usually is not hurting you.

Chicago is a shit show right now and his numbers will reflect that, but it's not that his play is any different than it was here IMO. He has 4 points 5v5 and 3 of them are with Bedard, and he's not playing with Bernard right now. Chicago has only scored 39 goals 5v5 right now (which really determines +/-) vs. Carolina having scored 57. Their leading scorer 5v5 has 9 points, where-as Carolina has 7 players with 9+ 5v5 points. Chicago only has 3 players in the + and they are all +1.

TT had 5 PP points early in the season and the narratives started how he was now free from the restrictive Canes system. I watched a few Hawks games and TT looks like the same player he was here, only on a worse team with less talent.

When Chicago improves their talent, TT's numbers will improve.

He'll be retired by then.
