Random shit:
Hope we do this tournament from now on at least every other year, but somehow include the smaller countries
The All Star game is so terrible that it'll be tough to go back to that format compared to this tournament
With all the injuries to star players, I fear the owners won't want to do this very often which is unfortunate. Hopefully this grows the game in the U.S., especially with all the media attention these games received
JT Miller straight up sucks ass, glad we didn't trade for him. If you're gonna be a hothead at least back that shit up with solid production, guy was a disaster
J. Hughes was way worse than I thought he'd be, he got dominated all over the place and was supposed to be a leader on the team (lol). Also a turnover machine and is soft as baby shit
Nelson, Kreider, and Trocheck over K. Connor (don't remember if he was a healthy scratch or not), Robo, and Keller was a bad call. East coast bias I guess but seriously... Brock Nelson? Shouldn't have even been considered
Injuries to McAvoy, M. Tkachuk, and Q. Hughes definitely hurt the team overall. Coaches had to over-play the forwards to compensate once Tkachuk went down while Kreider played 6 minutes and Trocheck 10 minutes. Maybe M. Tkachuk should have realized he wasn't ready to go, swallowed his pride, and let someone fully healthy take his spot because in the end it just hurt the team
Boldy led forwards with damn near 23 min TOI for some reason and had a pretty bad game, though he was good in the other 2 games. He's a very Jekyll and Hyde player
Adam Fox is so much worse than I expected, guy is so damn slow and was -2 tonight. In the running for most overrated player out there
I guess Canada can keep their country for now but we'll see how it plays out
