Dallas has some good players but their only elite talent is Miro.

Said it when he got dealt there - all of the Star's centres are rush possession shooters. None of them are distributors that fit with a player like Rantanen.

Mackinnon is also a rush possession player, but much more of a distributor than people perceive. His MO is bust in, push the D men back, create a gap in the middle or up ice, then send it to Rantanen/Makar with space for them to score. The Stars guys are much more inclined to rush in and just launch it.

JJ probably said that to him and Bowman replied, "well, your earlier moves have left us with a couple million of cap room, how do I magically expand that quickly without moving one of our core pieces" To which JJ likely said, " I dunno, that's why we hired you. To do something impossible and get the heat off of me after I f***ed up. Sorry."

Colorado has the ability to make a lot of teams look awful. Especially if that team has an off night. I think the Sens are for real, but will still have the odd stinker.
