I think it’s going to be fun watching the Flames / Nucks battle for the last wild card
spot. One of those teams may need to go on a streak at some point.

Not sure either team will catch the kings, but anything’s possible, the make up game Flames / Kings at the end of the season may have playoff implications.

LA has very little travel the rest of the season. Are done with their eastern trips, just a few central games, and then mainly home games and divisional matchups.

They should have listened to that anonymous hockey executive back in 2021. He said to pass on Demko due to him having bad hip issues, which would lead to other problems down the road.

Nearly every goalie in the league that achieved UFA status is overpaid to some degree, even the elites. Shesterkin and Vasilevky are great, but not worth near those contracts. Same with Bobrobsky. It’s unfortunately a position that forces an overpay for anyone other than total fliers, and even then you can only get value for one year if they perform.

Agreed. Interestingly enough, the Panthers thought they'd made a huge mistake signing Bobo to that big lengthy contract and there was word they were trying to dump him before he got hot in the playoffs and totally redeemed himself.

I remember that. Word was that they would retain 50% for a return of next to nothing just to get rid of him at the time.

There was some discussion around here about maybe picking him after Campbell bombed, but people are pretty set in the mindset of buying high, and selling low in most things.
