Oilers used to light Hrudey up like a Christmas tree, that probably contributes to his hate.

Tbh I don't think Draisaitl really cares about regular season awards at this point.

I forget where I read it, but some so-called insider type said emphatically that Rantanen will sign with the Oilers this summer. That would be incredible, but the cap and salary gymnastics would have to be spectacular for that to happen.

He is a very good player, but certainly not a line driver. And those are the guys that should get the big bucks. He is a product of whoever can feed him the puck, and he had that in spades in Colorado. Aho is a very good player but he ain't no MacKinnon. Saying that, he'd be incredible in an Oiler uni, playing beside the big German.

After all the self-congratulating Hurricanes fans were doing after that trade, it looks good on them. Easily one of the most obnoxious fanbases I've ever interacted with (source: my closest NHL team geographically).
