I think they're walking themselves into a position where they basically will have to re-tool/re-build. The "get help right now" returns that are out there are likely all underwhelming/non-existant. Necas might have been the one and only. If they sold for futures it would open up a lot of trade suitors and enhance the return.
Miller is a sexy add for a contending team, but no contender is going to send existing on roster quality back. Ditto for Pettersson.

If it isn't allegations of their owner beating his kids, it's Miller vs. Horvat, or Miller vs. Pettersson, or punting a coach out the door as the replacement is watching their games as an analyst, etc, etc.

It is location specific. The something in the water stuff. Nucks team, fanbase, everything have always been pretty whacked. Sedins crying overload.
