It was supposedly house money because it was just the start of their window.

Not really sure why that was the logic, or where it came from, their core is older than ours, but... That was the main idea. 😂
I don't gamble or go to vegas so I don't know what house money even is. I know what money under the couch or stuck in the coach is. Unplanned extra savings. hehe

Serious though I don't really follow the term in relation to the Cucks. Luck I understand.

House money in gambling context is like a freebie - you booked a vacation package anyway, and they gave you a "complimentary" $200 dollar gift card to go spend at the casino for chips.

You either spend it and lose it, or you lose it anyway. Basically it's a "loss leader" casinos use to entice people to start having fun playing casino games, get a little liquored, and start surrendering their own money.

Realistically, it's also not likely a loss to the casino or free to you as the customer, as I'm sure that overhead gets factored back into pricing schemes regardless - but I digress.

As for how that applies to the Canucks and their current roster and last year? I... No idea. That's a leap I struggle with. I guess they thought they were young and upcoming and only going to get better even though their best player was 32 and outside of Hughes and Petterson who are both already 26 - all their other key contributors are already 28-29?

It's a mystery to me.

Appreciate it. I really didn't know and have never gambled or gone to casinos or Vegas. Yeah. I didn't know how that applied to the Canucks. Still don't. ;)

I don't get either any notion or premise that the Nucks were going to get better. Better for lols, yes.

The great thing about PDO champ clubs is that they inevitably fall back to Earth all the time and offer all that illusion that the team is actually good enough. For divisional opponents its kind of the perfect thing. It keeps them mediocre as the clubs themselves figure they are better than they are and just going through a rough stretch...

People talk about Petey and Miller a lot but others like Boeser look invisible as well. Its a whole team thats seen a ghost. The spectre being that they realize they just are nothing and that theres no point pretending otherwise. cucks aren't making the playoffs even in a relatively easy division. What giving up looks like.
Petey and Miller are on pace for 58 points and make about 20 mill lol

Never forget.

Draisaitl is getting paid 8.5 million to score more than Miller and Petersson combined while also providing Selke level defensive play and being a team leader that elevates his game during the playoffs. The Canucks 20 million dollar duo would love for the chance just to sniff his jock strap one time.

I'm sure they got a good whiff of his jock strap when Drai was tea bagging them for 14 points in 6 games in the playoff series last year

Friday night in Canada and only two games on. Pitts-Sabres which virtually nobody cares about because both of these clubs are awful. But its the one Snet are showing. Vegas vs Canes, a matchup between at least good NHL clubs is also on, but not shown anywhere here.

This would be like the Bundesliga showing two relegation clubs as match of the week while two contenting teams playing same day.. gee which do you want? Does Snet figure anybody cares to see the flightless birds or the rattled Sabres? Because NHL, not even watching. You'd have an audience for the one game, but not the other. figure it out.
