Flames down 2-0 and take another game to OT

Jets still on fire. Up 2-0 on Dallas. Man their PP is over 40% still. 1 PPG tonight

Good balance on the team. Seem to have everything. Have to see what they do in the playoffs.

Jest 2/3 on the PP (Teams get up to 3 PP's in a game?)

Their PP will not stay at 40%+ and their goaltending will be this great, but they are a solid team.

Be the only banner up there in the stands in their joke of an arena. November champs.

Never gets old but the Winnipeg Arena is next to a Radisson hotel and a dollar store. Must be a Giant Tiger around there too. Just shut the lights out already. Best record in league and they still have trouble selling tickets in the smallest arena in the league.

Ovi has 2 goals tonight and is up to 10. Not bad for a geezer
Its kind of interesting how much separation there is between Ovi and Crosby now. I'd have thought Sidney would keep up better.

Who'd have thought years ago that in 2024 Ovi would be leading a Caps team that is doing very well and that Sidney would be leading a club that has been imploding for years?

OVI looks better now than he has any recent season. Seems to even be gearing up at this age. Uncanny.

I've got a lot of time for the Jets. Small Canadian market. GM Chevy has navigated around some challenging situations rarely coming out the loser in them. Solid hockey history and tradition. Little brother franchise for a lot of their history.

I'll cheer for Jets success unless they are playing the Oil. Better to see them strive for success than carpetbagging no state tax teams that hoover up talent and drive the modern NHL agenda. Go Jets Go!

Bettman apparently made a trip up to Winnipeg to discuss arena expansion or the building of a new arena to NHL standards to ensure the long term viability of the Jets. I can see a day where the Jets are sold given the astronomical franchise values and relocated to a US city and the Manitoba Moose become the Oilers farm team. Although the players getting called up would have to take VIA Rail to Edmonton so that might not be ideal.

As do I. I was born near Winnipeg and the Jets are my go to team when the Oilers are out. I would rather the Jets than the Panthers, Canes, Sharks, Ducks, Knights, Utah HC, etc etc.

In a different era I do. I was a diehard WHA fan. So the Jets hold that pantheon for me of being the legend club from that league. But its not the same org now, that one is in Utah. Or am I keeping up?

Prosports by and large have passed the Winnipegs, almost passed the Edmontons but our city is a different beast now and fastest expanding in the nation.

Winnipeg can no longer support an NHL franchise anymore and only owner bleeding allows it to be there for now. The trouble in Winnipeg was that the joke Mullet arena was keeping focus off Winnipeg for a little while. That wasn't going to last and neither will a team in Winnipeg. Theres no future scenario in which the Winnipeg market and economy will support an NHL club. Just the reality that its borrowed time.
