LA has been absolutely dreadful in the third period of each game, and Jim Hiller is revealing himself to be an absolute knob of a coach. Good grief.

Helenius played 90 seconds in 4 periods.
Malott played 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Lewis 5 minutes.
Kuzmenko barely played in the 3rd and OT.

Clarke played 11 min on the back end.
Moverare played 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Blake added no depth. Hiller is tiring out their key players and LAK is fading out every game. I doubt they have any gas left in the tank the rest of the way.

I'm at the age where I don't even care who wins the cup outside of Vancouver. It's much more enjoyable to just watch hockey for sake of enjoying hockey. When Canucks get into the playoffs, then I'll go into war mode.
I realized my order of things as a fan are:

1 Canucks
2 Oilers must lose
3 Caps
4 Leafs must lose
5 generally screw Boston, Florida, Minny, Las Vegas, probably some others im forgetting

You're completely right about this.

I'm just sad that my other two teams (Montreal and Winnipeg) are also looking pretty dismal right now, and both and Edmonton and Toronto look like they're about to advance.

I witnessed Oiler and Leafs fans take great pleasure in us losing in 2011. That changed my perspective on the cup coming back to Canada. It was so satisfying seeing the Leafs get denied by that same Bruins core...over and over again.

f*** both fanbases.

What pisses me off is that they have both enjoyed long successful regular season cores and ours was like one f***ing season.

Hiller intentionally eliminated his own depth advantage.

You can use Lewis on the PK no? Certainly Clarke and Spence should be getting more minutes, rather than watch Doughty get roasted by McDavid on a shift-by-shift basis.

LA's guys should be fresher than a McDrai combo playing 30+ minutes. They're not because of braindead coaching.

i never really watch OEL play after he left our team, how did he play for the leafs this year? Good, bad, okay?
I had an awful dream last night that we were faced with an Edmonton/Toronto SCF.

Disgusting.
i take any canadian teams other than the flames to win a cup, i am desperate to see a canadian team win.

I f***ing hate Edmonton, but if that's the all Canadian final we get, then I'll take it. I would much prefer Winnipeg in the finals., but well.....

I don't see how the Avs aren't repping the West in the finals though.

Mcdavid and Drai are just insane. That turn around yesterday in the third was objectively a thing of beauty. Them carrying the husk of Perry around and making him look like a top 6 forward is absurd.

It’s only through completely incompetent management teams that they haven’t won multiple cups.

Also, to anyone whining it’s such a Canucks thing to sit back with the lead, I hope you watched that game. It happens to almost every team that’s ahead, and even some of the best defensive teams can struggle with it. Made me appreciate even more what the Canucks were able to do last year to limit the Oilers with Arthur Silovs of all people in net.

Not sure why the Kings keep on sitting back. When they play their game they dominate the Oilers. They are the superior team when they forecheck. Why change? It's crazy. It's like watching football and all of sudden the winning team goes into a deep zone and get picked apart. It doesn't work but coaches and teams do it over and over again.

Just stupid. The officiating was atrocious. Even on the Oilers tying goal there were multiple things that should have been called on the Oilers (there was some Garland-esque holding going on and then an obvious trip).

Letting McD and Drai have free reign to attack your subpar goalie for 20 minutes straight is probably the stupidest thing in hockey since Jim Benning.

As the Kings have shown, hockey can be such a mental game. They're capable of beating the Oilers. Just do it.

I don't have as big a problem with the Leafs making it to the final and winning (unless they're playing the Jets). I'll hate the obvious media garganza, but the Leafs fans have been without a Cup since 1967. That's a long time to suffer, and I can empathize with that.

Another win, another celebration.

Honest question - does this just happen regularly in Edmonton where their fans get in fights at the arena after games? I feel like almost every night there's a game there I see videos of their fans fighting, and I just don't see it happening anywhere close to as often anywhere else?
