Man, Avs are serious business yet again. Outshooting a team 48-23 in the playoffs?
Stars have hung on well but I don't think it's their year even with Heiskanen given their right side D.
Spending a 1st on those two was a little mind boggling for a 2x reigning GM of the year.
It was a tough D market this season and they did well long term with Rantanen, but the clip of Ceci missing the net by a couple provinces lives rent free in my head.

I picked Winnipeg, avs, Oilers and Vegas in the first round. I want was feeling 0 for 4 was a possibility a couple of days ago. Hoping for 3/4, go kings.

To be honest, Landeskog is the one reason I'd be okay with the Avs winning the cup this year. Would make for one hell of a story.

Granlund wasn’t a bad pickup from a value perspective, but they desperately needed to shore up their defense and Ceci wasn’t going to cut it. They’ve got two top-4 d men and a bunch of 6-7’s filling the rest of the lineup.

Seeing Green's dumb visage on my screen makes me want the Leafs to win. That's how bad that dude ruined hockey for me.

The only reason I want Dallas to win is to stick it to blueberries and that they're not good enough to get past the second round. The Avs are too good and I can't stand the constant fawning over No Pasta Man and the hair cut salesman. They'll definitely be in the finals with Blackwood playing a steady game. Gross.

Avs are going to the SCF and they're likely winning it all again. The emotional boost of getting Landeskog back must be insane in that room right now. So long as they stay healthy, they're my pick.
Cheering for the sens in r1 but Tkachuk and Green are a tough combo to root for.
Q is 67 this year. So, he probably has 3-4 years in him given he has been out of the game for 3 years. Wonder if both Q and the Ducks think they are that close to being a PO team and then competing. Or for Q, he just wants to get back into the game to have a better ending to his career.
I think he'll improve results over Cronin but that team has a ways to go before they are competing. I wouldn't hire Q. NHL should have just closed that chapter long time ago.

I find Toronto aggravating largely for how the Canadian sport media just can’t stop talking about them non stop. But in fairness to their fans, they’ve suffered for a long time - a futility streak predating the Canucks’ existence, having an owner so bad even Aquilini might not hold a candle - but the fans have stuck with it through good times and bad.
The Canadian media would be nauseating on a Leaf run/win, but I don’t know. I wouldn’t feel too bad about their fans. (I say that now…)
Oilers are a different matter. Bringing in Stan Bowman - and recruiting Keith, Kane and Perry before that - I wish them nothing but the worst. f*** them. The fact that a good chunk of their online fanbase is some of the most hate filled, hate spewing folks I’ve ever seen just adds to that desire to see them fail.

Yeah, I’m pretty done with hearing that Hellebuyck is the best goalie in the league. Guy has been an absolute sieve last year and this one when the games have mattered most to his team.
