Canada off to a great start in Olympic Diving.

One more example of why this league can be so frustrating and feel like NHL officiating is WWE caliber.

In the 3rd period of a blowout game a couple nights ago, career-long POS Radko Gudas goes after a 5'10" 172 lbs rookie, knocking him into the net, gloved punches to the face.

The ref watching the whole thing gives them both roughing minors.

I have no particular feelings for the Flyers (other than it's fun watching any team coached by Torts lose) or Mitchkov, but this is as they say, bush league.

They desperately want to take the fighting out of the game, but increasingly demonstrate they have no idea how to effectively police the game in it's absence.

Leading scorer for Columbus likely out 6-8 weeks. I feel bad for somebody getting a broken jaw, but that helps Detroit's odds for a wild card.

Good lord. It's seriously like the Blue Jackets are cursed.

He was having a tremendous season, league leader in plus minus.

Sorry Columbus, I would prefer you do well this year, but not at the expense of the Wings. So go ahead and start your collapse now.

Let the record show that the Wings are one spot higher than the Leafs in the latest power rankings.
Gee, you just hate to see the Leafs drop.

You hate to see it. About as much as you’d hate to see a winning lottery ticket in your hand.

Please don’t say Leafs and lottery in the same post. Just don’t even put that out in the universe.

How many spots can a team jump up under the current draft rules??

I have a bit of a personal vendetta because I made a comment about how their Stanley Cup odds were way too good before the season, but man, the fact that New Jersey has consistently had the most games played in the league and most of the time 3-4 more than the next highest team has really helped create an illusion that they are better than they are.

Being in the Metro rather than the Atlantic helps their chances out a bit, but they're right there mucking it up with the other 10 teams vying for a playoff spot, despite the standings telling you they've been comfortably in all year.

Haven't you heard? Sens never get bounces and never have to find ways to win in games where they were not the better team. Just elite all around and not a bottom 5on5 team at all.
If Toronto and Ottawa square off in the first round, it's a guarantee that HFB will go nuclear.

So many tears, so little time.
