Around the League 2024-25 season

I wonder what the circumstances that need to be met for the Kings to clinch 2nd. Like 2 losses for Edmonton right?

Yeah, basically any combo of 4 points gained by Kings or lost by Oilers

So they could clinch with a victory on Monday which would be a nice touch but would like it before then for sure

This year's playoffs will be completely unpredictable. Beyond the top 4 teams, there's an absolute pile up of very good teams that have a strong chance of winning any matchup. There are 11 teams that have a realistic chance of going deep in the playoffs, plus the Blues, who are hot right now.

Kings vs. Leafs Stanley Cup Final, and have Kerry Fraser come out of retirement to officiate the series.

7 points in his first two games back lmao

It doesn't matter if the rest of Edmonton is on LTIR, McDavid is about to have a 25 point series on us

I'm telling you. Kings are taking the Oilers out this year. Didn't even need these injuries. But it'll help end the series even sooner. Kings in 6 (at most).

One of my favorite players in this league ever. He was my guy during the Cup years, and two of my favorite moments as a hockey fan in 2014.

Wish he would’ve made it back to the Kings if he knew this was the end, but he will live forever.

God I miss Martinez, hoped he would get moved here at the deadline for depth and to finish up as a King

What a career, always solid, always sneaky under the radar, and always rose to every occasion. Him and Greene did not allow a single goal in the 2012 playoffs, even if what people remember him for is his offensive heroics in 2014--or above, his shot blocking for Vegas. That shows his versatility for a guy who wasn't super fast, agile, or large. Plus he was a f***ing unit for his size.

Best wishes Alec!

This really really good news for us, Ekholm and Bouchard are Edmonton's top D men, with Ekholm being instrumental on their blueline. They're definitely more banged up than any other time we've faced them.

Congrats Marty on the career, Kings should've never gotten rid of him, he was an ideal top 4 LHD.

Oh don't you worry, the Kings will make Brett Kulak look like a top pairing defenseman, just as they did last year.
