The TV ratings for the playoffs are going to be uglier than Roseanne in a bikini.

No Hawks, Pens, Rangers, Bruins, Flyers, Red Wings or Sabres, those are probably 7 of the top 10 tv markets in the US for hockey. If the season were 85 games instead of 82 the Wild would probably be on this list too.

Good. They’ll all have more time to coordinate their upcoming Winter Classic games.
People here get mad about this, but it's a no-brainer that you put on the teams that draw the most.
There is a reason Fox puts Ohio State, Michigan and Penn St. on their big noon kickoffs and not Indiana, Nebraska and Rutgers. It's the same reason that whatever network has broadcasted the Winter Classic has put the same few teams on, why the Yankees and Red Sox are always on national TV etc.

I understand the logic, doesn't mean that 70% of the NHL fanbase wouldn't want to see their team in it or just anything different in general.
