Around the League 2024-25 season

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

The Jets did the Kings a slight favor by beating the Oilers in OT. Kings now two points back of the Oilers with two games in hand. Knights still playing with a comfortable 2 goal lead against the Bruins tonight.

I'm watching the Ducks feed and they are currently running a promo "Flock around, and find out!"

No matter how dark it ever gets around here I'm grateful to be from the right side of the tracks.

It's one thing if you're a top team and can back it up, it's another when you're in 28th place and throw tough guy Zegras out night after night.

‘Mr Glass’ has played 71 games this season and has more points than any player on the Kings roster…
But now he might be out for the rest of the season.

There is an awkwardness to him. I still firmly believe part of the PLD thing was that PLD is usually in the lineup and Blake had too much PTSD from Vilardi's various injuries.

I say all of this, again, as a big fan of his game.

I'm not going to hold injuries caused by dirty plays against a player, awkwardness aside.

Slew foots are among the most dangerous plays out there.

And yet Blake expected Arvidsson to be in the lineup every night despite his plethora of injuries before he got to LA.

The argument that Cilardi was an injury concern doesn't hold much weight to me when you consider Arvidsson.

I think it's more likely the Kings have something going on with the medical staff or the medical reports. Been far too many times over the last few years where a player has gone from out day-to-day, then week-to-week and then in a coffin.

gavirkov gonna get paid
I think he's worth it for his locker room presence alone, seems like one of those great glue guys to have. He reminds me of Willie Mitchell in his prime a bit, long rangy left shot D man that can score. Plus the cap is going up next year so he'd be worth it. Kempe is also gonna clean up as well.

do you want gavrikov on the books if you get swept out of the 1st again though? does he want to be "the guy" going through a rebuild?

don't get me wrong i really like the guy but there's a lot of moving parts

We have the 6th highest points percentage in the entire NHL.

Idk what it is here with everyone being such a pessimist. We have a good team; we are far far away from another rebuild.

I keep saying it and the chickenrun contract basically confirms it

Gavrikov is going to be closer to an 8x8 than people here will ever be comfortable with

The comps before the cap went up wereall in the 7s, even a discount now looks like 6.5 or 7 a year
