Have to say Keefe has the Devils playing solid d lately.
Sorry to pick on you here, Papa, but I don't really understand why Leaf fans are surprised that Keefe knows how to do a defensive system. That was the most obvious change when he took over from shit brains.. Err, Babcock. The defensive game of the team changed dramatically for the better.

He has his flaws, for sure, and moving on was the right choice, but he has some positives too.

All good. Been taking Devils in my pool the last few years and team d and goaltending have struggled in that time.

Lol Rangers lose again

Looking back on their 12-4-1 start, we all should've known they were frauds. Only 2 wins against playoff teams - Leafs, which Shesterkin stole, and Canucks right before the start of the losing streak.

Now 15-15-1, losing to even bad opponents. 10 of their next 12 games are against elite teams lmao

You know you are bad when you lose 6-1 to the Habs. Jeez Buffalo... I don't even know what the answer is at this point for them. It's not as if a Coaching change will do anything. The wheels have completely fallen off the bus.
The worst part is that when you look at Buffalo's roster, there really isn't much they can even trade. They have two defensemen with value, but presumably they won't trade either of them. The rest of the lineup is pretty miserable for a team that has been rebuilding for more than a decade.

Buffalo shouldn't be this bad. They have two pretty promising young goalies. Some very solid pieces on D. Some good forwards. I honestly thought they were on the up and up.

I don't know what's going on. Their ownership is piss poor despite coming in with hugely deep pockets and a lot of bravado 13 years ago (not making the playoffs once in all that time). They tried to party like it was 1999 bringing back Ruff. Adams seems like he is way over his head as GM.

Something's gotta give. It's a great hockey city (with some of the nicest jerseys in the league, I might add) and they deserve better.

Well it looks like Ottawa should make the playoffs. Ullmark does look to be the answer for them in net.

The Atlantic toilet bowl was fun whilst it lasted

Now if this starts a chain jynx reaction in which they lost 11 straight, I’d be ecstatic.

Don't worry, Ottawa will fold.

Laine with three absolute rockets tonight. My goodness.

Would be amazing for Montreal if he can put things together there.

He has six goals..... all on the powerplay.

The Habs are being outshot 49 to 22 and outscored 5 to 1, at 5v5 with him on the ice.

Scoring on the PP is good, no doubt. Being terrible at 5v5 hockey isn't good.

That's what I mean... what direction do you even take? I mean you look at Cozens... he's only 23, but on a $7.1 mil contract, and has 14 points in 32 games. Obviously underperforming, but what value are you going to get for him, that will help build the team in the future? Better off keeping him, and working towards him getting better in the future.

This isn't a team with a bunch of veterans that they can move for more picks... they are mostly a young group. If anything, they could use a veteran presence to stabilize the group, as well as some veteran D, to help guide the younger guys. They've got five D men, all 25 and under who have the most minutes... and then Connor Clifton who is typically getting the sixth most minutes. This just isn't good development.
