The Sens looked so good against the Leafs a couple weeks ago. They've been utter crap since. Insane how much they only show up to play the Leafs. It's kind of like Josh Anderson showing up to score 90% of his goals against the Leafs (not so much lately).

Meanwhile, Florida doesn't look like they want to be playing tonight. They are going to lose to Chicago.

As an aside, thank God the Leafs didn't resign Bertuzzi. That would have been an anchor of a contract.

I was very happy to let him walk. Signing Pacioretty seems like a much better gamble, even if he's gonna be injured for a portion of it.

Samsonov gets the last laugh on Ullmark, making 38 saves, including a clutch stop to rob Perron from tying the game and puts up a .950 sv%. Vegas was outshot 18-5 in the third period.

After Ottawa won their Stanley Cup against the Leafs they've lost four in a row.

Good for Samsonov. Ullmark can eat shit.

Senators are never as good as they look against us and the Leafs are never as bad as they look against them. Just one of those stupid things in sports.

I just remember the North Division season where the Leafs beat up on all the other Canadian teams except Ottawa, who was firmly at the bottom with Vancouver (who the Leafs also struggled against). Meanwhile we washed the Jets and Oilers like it was a past time

At this point Green will be left with "now go out there and pretend it's the Leafs" as the only option to motivate his club

I think they play the Leafs like it's Game 7 of the Cup Finals and then take the rest of the season off.

Since they beat us, we haven't lost a game and they haven't won a game.

The same thing happened last year, we won like 5+ in a row after the empty net slapshot and the Sens went on a long losing streak.

I liken this Ottawa Senators build to the Hall-Eberle-RHN-Schultz era Edmonton Oilers. A core of pretty good young players overhyped in a small market and raised on bad habits. Sure they can put it together and look like world beaters, but they just don't have the right adult supervision and culture to be successful as currently put together.

Stutzle looks like he's about to win a Stanley Cup everytime he's gunning for an EN goal vs the Leafs.
