Man, I hate to see Pens go through this because of Sid.

Dubas really made some huge blunders though so they deserve this but hope Sid can be moved somewhere where I can see him play meaningful hockey.

Bert said that foligno (captain) called him the day before and said that the hawks were interested. While negotiating with the leafs.

If they found circumvention. Could we get a pick out of it?

Penguins do have their 1st. round pick, along with another 9 this year.

I've said this before, but I'd like to see Crosby with Colorado.

Maybe Dubas agrees ... sneaky ...
Crosby is the one who wanted Malkin, Letang and Sullivan back.

Be careful what you wish for.

He also extended there for two more years beyond this one because he believed in the team going forward.

The years of scaremongering fans that we can't lose Dubas because he'll win in his next gig were unsurprisingly not true.

I really, really wanted him to land the Sens gig.

He's been that bad that Welsh Leafs fan has stopped posting.

Anaheim's new uniforms are even uglier than my second kid.

I'm sorry son. When you were born I know I said you took the ugly cake. But I was wrong.

Those new jersey's of Anaheim got even you beat.

The Leafs being second place in their division isn't the flex some think it is. For one thing their actual won-loss record isn't improved year over year. For another thing everyone beneath them is .500 or below.

The simple truth of the matter is that Toronto's improved standings position is a result of the rest of the teams getting worse than the Leafs getting better.

Minnesota and Utah are the biggest surprises on the season so far. Gotta think if either of those two teams make the playoffs their coach will be up for the Jack Adams award. Carbery should probably win it though.

If there was an award for ugliest uniform Anaheim would win that.

It would be a little bit of a flex if as you say every team got worse but somehow the Leafs didn't.

Technically the Leafs are one point worse than this time last year because they lost one game outright instead of in overtime.

But that's just being nit picky. I'm really only interested in their won-loss record. And to be fair some of the teams beneath them probably have better records than last year but are coming off a low enough base that any improvement still won't be enough to pass the Leafs.

It's very satisfying to see Boston and Tampa continue to regress though.

I agree.

It's just when some people say he deserves to be traded to Colorado, etc.

He wanted to stay in Pittsburgh.
Yeah, its basically like the Sundin situation.

Its obviously not the BEST thing for the franchise in terms of competing, but sometimes you just gotta make exceptions. These are real people, and theyve given huge parts of their lives to these organizations.

Very true. I also believe that deep down Crosby really thought by keeping himself, Malkin and Letang that the team could be competitive.

Bringing in Karlsson and signing boat anchor contracts to Jarry and Graves really didn't help.

Pens look like they're gonna be bad for a long time now.

Also doesnt help they spent the 5 years prior not really drafting any talent or adding youth. Caps have done well in that regard. They scooped up Strome when Chicago foolishly let him go for some reason (im sure they wouldnt mind him playing 1C rn with Bedard on the wing or something based on his recent struggles). McMichael seems to be hitting now. Protas is a nice surprise, developing an offensive game that you probably wouldnt have really expected when first drafted. Then they also made trades like getting Sandin.

Next year theyre likely adding Miroshnichenko and Leonard to their line up. Meanwhile you look at Pittsburgh and they might have McGroarty comin in next year that could make an impact and no one really else...
