When you trade away your depth and then have a carousel of bottom 6 players because of the cap hogs, you're not gonna hit on all of them. Some were dumb (Reaves, Kampf) and others just sucked (Jarnkrok)

Luostarinen was acquired at the age of 21, so the Panthers basically developed him as one of their own. He makes 3M, but what about Lundell? Could we have afforded 8M between two bottom 6 guys? Subtracting the useless players gets us to maybe 6M?
