Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Stars/Jets game Saturday is at 12? That's brutal.

** that time must just be a place holder, 12pm = 11 am Dallas time, they can't be playing in the morning.

OK, raise your hand if you thought Freddie would get to the ECF before his buddies 16 and 34. This organization is such a joke. We are not here to sell jerseys. The hell you are not asshole.

They never addressed the D problem until this year. The Leafs have the absolute worst scouts in the NHL for D G and C's. We do wings well. That's it, chicken wings at that.

feels like when the Jets beat the Stars they plunder them and when the Stars beat the Jets they just get by. Like game 4 imo the Jets were the better team but Ottinger just decided to be a wall. Series "should" be 3-2 Jets which is why I think they have a chance. But it's hard to recover being down 3-2. Hoping the Jets can win but they need a road win this series first. Just like the Leafs I guess..

This is a common perspective that I have a different opinion on. I feel that's small timing a big time situation.

McDavid is bigger than the Oilers and certainly Drai. He is in a position where he needs to develop a lasting legacy as one of the best players of all time. Top three is probably the goal, with significant long term branding, personal, and financial ramifications.

Toronto theoretically could offer a lot to his story, but things couldn't be going worse. Feels all but gone at this point. Best bet is to try and get three cups with Oilers now.

Even recently it was inches away from going a different direction...kinda like that last lottery ball.

Eh, the home town draw is always going to be there, especially with a guy like him id the Oilers have t got their cup, he at least tests free agency similar to JT/Marner his final year.

It's then up to whomever is GM here to back the dump truck up of loonies to his house and see if he's interested
