Yes, true...in addition, it could also be that he's getting comfortable now...that initial trade was a big rude awakening for him.
I think it's a lesson in why you don't let your star players leave (or trade them).

How much do you want to pay for that next expired contract? If at the right price, it could be tolerable, but we've had almost a decade of this core.

It's like the 2006 Finnish Olypmic team redux but doesn't even need to rely on their goaltending. Interesting team to watch.
Henrique usually does too. It's not like he is running around tearing it up.

They aren't providing the heroics today but dear god - McDavid and Drai are such singular talents that they can basically sleepwalk to the final four with a Skinner-Pickard tandem.
Imagine they had someone like Saros in goal and maybe a Brodin type on D, they'd have 3 Cups by now. If we had one of them we'd have 3 by now.

He actually looked like a competent and capable goalie tonight after the rough year he's had. If he can rediscover some of his game, the Oilers will only be that much better because of it.
