Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Sure hope Dallas can continue to work through their challenges and oust the Av's. I was high on them all season but started to see cracks toward the end of the schedule. They've done a good job making adjustments and did so in short order. I think they have a strong program and are willing to make bigger moves to reach their goal. As a believer in open-mindedness, that is a very appealing quality.
They strike me as a team more in line with how I would operate if chasing the same goal. One of the more attractive teams to support as a fan IMO.

It would be very impressive if they win without the two key guys. I doubted them this series especially without Heiskanen, but fringe guys like Petrovic have really stepped up

If they close this out, they'll get healthy for subsequent rounds and could be the favourites in the West.

Wonder what kind of pushback Tampa will offer up tonight. They haven’t looked comfortable against the cats pace and aggressiveness. Could be they’re just not big and heavy enough to overcome it.

McDavid and Draisaitl cruise through the regular season to 100 points and then turn it up in the playoffs.

Isn't over until ...
Meanwhile Matthews doesn't even limp to a 100 pts half the time and still struggles after. I can't hate on a guy for injuries but it would be nice if they handled it better and properly

Leafs are the only Eastern team (and NHL team overall) that went up 3-0 but looks like they will also be the only Eastern team who couldn't finish their series in 5. Both Washington and Florida look like they'll be moving on tonight.

Question. On a delayed penalty. You have the puck behind your empty net. You try to pass it, it banks off the body of the opposing player and into your own net. Does that count?

It wouldn’t be control right?

Washington yes, but that Tampa game is far from over.

Edit: Tampa ties it.
