Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Kings are a f***ing joke. McDrai is their Boogeyman, they can't kill a penalty or hold a lead if their lives depended on it. They could've potentially swept this series but have now choked away a 2-0 lead. Also this playoff format is an absolute joke since year after year we get this dogshit matchup where Edmonton basically gets a free ride to round 2. Maybe the 5th time it'll be different!!! Pathetic.

Hiller is an idiot. Shortens the bench from the first period and then, once again, goes full turtle mode in the 3rd. 4 players (1D and 3F) under 5 min of ice, and Clarke saw only 11 min. Of course the top guys are gonna get tired.

Having said all that, game is likely over if Byfield chips it out of the zone. Inexcusable

If the Oilers didn't win after that complete domination in overtime that would be a tough one.

At least one Canadian team won tonight.

It seems as though the Kings have been heavily rolling 3 lines all series? Fatigue probably a factor then putting Edmonton in the driver's seat if the goaltending holds up.

Why??
From what I saw the Habs could only do anything on the powerplay. Washingston handled them nicely 5v5

We were them 10 years ago no with all the hype and took 10 years and new gm/coach to maybe make us legit?
They are starting to build a foundation with a young core. Of course they need to make the right moves in the offseason. Demidov, Caufield, Hutson, Suzuki, Slavkovsky are starting to look good. They also have some youngsters close to making the jump. Too bad for them Laine has his issues.

Leafs window will be all but closed in 3 or 4 years unless they find a way to hit on some draft picks because they will most likely be old and capped out.

Then we want a 2nd we don't need to trade to them .
Philly and Detroit are desperate for a great goaltender as well.
I liken any trade for a goalie between the Leafs and Oilers to the Sens/Bruins trade where Bruins took back Korpi. At the end of the day, you start a bidding war if you want to sell high on a goalie.

It’s amazing how a group of people who call themselves patriots but who want Alberta to become the 51st state sing O Canada so proudly. I don’t get Albertans

Many of them are proud Canadians sick of having their primary industry strangled by Laurentian elitists and seeing their wealth transferred to a corrupt welfare province like Quebec.
