Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Slafkovsky scores the dagger with 5 minutes left in the third,

5-3 Habs and The crowd in Montreal goes wild.

Logan Thompson is now hurt. The injury looks serious,he can’t even put weight on his left knee/leg. Maybe the turning point of the series?

I still think the Caps will take care of them in 5.

Habs outshooting the caps 36-19
They’re also outhitting and out skating them too.

Habs deserve to win tonight, they carried the play and had the most dangerous scoring chances in this gams. Their speed and aggressive forecheck exploited the slow and chaotic defense of the caps and forced the caps players to take penalties.

Nah, you can't deny it. They absolutely do. For pure fan insanity I always default to Philadelphia, in any sport, but for hockey Montreal fans wear the crown.
The energy in the building is amazing. There is no other teams that come even close.
And they intimidate the officials into calling penalties.
The TVR penalty in the 3rd for example

The Habs are getting better and more comfortable as the series goes on. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them win the series in 6 or 7. Especially with Logan Thompson out long term because of injury.

Not very impressed by the Caps. They are good but not Stanley cup contenders good. They are pretenders and Paper tigers. the only playoff team in the east I'm really worried about is florida. I fear them for obvious reasons we all know.

Well that one is over.
Let’s see if Pickard has better luck behind that putrid Oilers d than Skinner did.
