Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Cannot take Dallas seriously as a contender when they’ve got Ceci and Lyubushkin playing top four minutes for them on their right side. I get that Heiskanen is injured but it’s unacceptable to not have a better contingency plan in case of injury.
I've never seen such a difference in talent on a team when it comes to LD/RD like the stars currently have

Rutherford has completely lost the plot lol

I won't be surprised if the league sets a new precedent for tampering fines.

Removing Bylsma and Francis makes a lot of sense. Not sure it makes any sense to go from Francis to Botterill though... but maybe he learned from his time in Buffalo.

They needed a full front office reset. Though hard to imagine any other coach doing all that better. A very mediocre roster, and that's being kind

did they just blow the whistle before washington even gained possession of the puck on the delayed call?

Many years ago, I remember following Calgary and Edmonton on their cup runs and wanting them to win. It's places like this that made their fans insufferable. I find myself wanting the Habs to win a series or two. For one, it would weaken the conference, but also the cup needs to finally come back to Canada. Bettman needs to suck a f***.

A Tor/Mon Eastern Conference final would be incredible. If the Leafs won.

If they lost I am not sure I could handle the Habs fans I know.

At least for the first period Mon doesn't look way overmatched.

Was is far more physical but Mon is pretty quick as a team.

Hutson has a pretty good first pass to get out of trouble

My guess is that Montreal wins more games in this round than Ottawa. I could see Montreal winning all of its home game in this series. That won't be the case for Ottawa.

Caps are a great road team so I could see them taking one in Montreal for sure especially if Protas and Fehervary return.

Protas would overwhelm them on the forecheck as well.

I can’t see them winning any. Caps are going to sweep them

You know it isnt going well for the Habs when the Habs mods start removing all Leafs fans from the general forums GDT

If only their team showed as much aggression
Ah, I think you have to go "in peace"... at least that is how it goes around here. Pretty sure we get trolled more than any other team on HFB.
