Set your sights higher. The Leafs will do much better than round 2. There isn't a team in the Eastern conference that will beat them this season.
Carolina is still deep and better structured cant rest the whole roster I think they still win

Yes, and we’ll have a better chance of going far if the Florida teams spend time beating each other up in round 1. That’s in jeopardy as long as Tampa has a chance to pass us.
And don’t give me the odds of how unlikely that is. What were the odds the Leafs would blow a 4-1 lead in the third in game 7? The odds we’d blow a playoff spot with an 8 game losing streak in 2014? The odds we’d lose to a Zamboni driver? The odds we’d blow a 3-1 series lead to the Habs?
This franchise lives to defy the odds in a bad way. Any tiny advantage we can get is most welcome, and we will very much lose one if Florida goes into Tampa not only on a back to back, but unmotivated to try and take points from them.

Yep Rangers win. Florida has nothing to play for tomorrow. Easy two points for Tampa. Must win game for the Leafs in Buffalo if they want any hope of taking it easy even a little bit before the playoffs.
Habs lose in the shootout and if they lose their next game in regulation... Columbus wins both in regulation... they have same amount of points but more regulation wins than the Habs.

Quite the turn of events.
Who would have thought last Thursday that MTL wouldn't have a playoff spot locked up yet?
CLB's last two opponents are very beatable (PHI and NYI). I hope CAR tries against MTL and doesn't gift them a playoff spot. They were uncharacteristically nonchalant against TOR after the first 15 minutes.

The problem with CBJ is they've been so dogshit on the road. Plus, Philly has been pesky since Torts got fired, so I'm sure they'll be tough to beat
I feel bad for what happened to Laine and his mental health issues over the years but wow has he fallen off a cliff as a player. He is brutal to watch.
