Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Draisaitl is an absolute monster. I think he is one of the few players on McDavid's level and it just so happens they are teammates. Wish our guys played with his sort of determination.
What ever happened to the Nylander fanboy that said he was leetching off McDavid and Nylander was better?

Almost as dumb as the poster who claimed "Bennett was bad at hockey" when the Flames put him on the trade block.

I suspect both now on a healthy diet of crow and their tails tucked in tightly between their legs.

"In a season that has been a 65-game struggle for McDavid, the Oilers would not be a playoff team without Draisaitl’s production. Of his 49-51-100, 34 goals and 70 points have come at even strength."

Nylander certainly has the talent to be on Draisitl's level or at least close to it, but he doesn't have an inch of the determination or drive. Nylander probably won't accomplish a fraction of what Leon has already done.

There were many posters on this forum who looked down on Draisaitl year after year.

Being out west, for decades now, I've watched (non-live) many Oilers games.

It's amazing how underrated he is in certain parts of the east.

Montreal should be pretty fired up against Florida tonight. Looks like a mismatch on paper, but I could see Florida taking this one pretty lightly.

Dewar with 2 goals already. Does this dude only score when he's not a Leaf!?

Timmins with 3 points, too. Because of course lol
Rather of moved Benoit then Timmins. Carlo and Myers are similar enough to what Benoit brings. Timmins is a big rh defenseman who has puck moving ability. Our back end could use more mobility.

Sure impressed with Bratt. I thought he would struggle without Hughes because their chemistry is incredible but he just keeps rolling. He’s small but doesn’t shy away from tough areas and battles hard.
He’d be popular here.
