Watching the Knights/Kings game and thinking it’s a good thing we’re not facing them in the first round.
Vegas is just so deep it’s hard to find good matchups and L.A is hard to play against. Especially with the bounce back season Kuemper is having after struggling with the Caps.

This should probably be in another thread but the Leafs should do everything in their power to get another big piece or two. Leafs will get either Detroit or Ottawa in the first round and then a a beatable TB or Florida team. The path is right there to make a big run. We got the goaltending. We got a legit top pair, go big and put this team over the top. Imagine wanting to keep a kid like Cowan or Danford over going for a Cup lol

We had that secret weapon in Holl for a time.... I think that is the only positive memory I have of Holl, that he actually shut down McDavid a couple of times...

Watched Jets - Sharks.

Jets tied it 1-1 with 26 seconds to go. then won at 1:33 in OT.

Jet were all over them, and yet they weren't.

Not sure what the stats say, but they looked like the Leafs when they have all the busy-busy, buzzing around and yet you just feel they aren't accomplishing anything.

Tying goal was just a simple blast from the sideboards.

Sharks played a disciplined game.

Jets 10th. straight win.

He had a legit shot at 50 goals this season were it not for the injury and missing 16 games.

He's now second in goals for most ever in an age 39 season:

He's unquestionably going to be traded. I could see Florida or Dallas making a push for him using their LTIR money.

It's looking like the division is going to be a bit of a dogfight down the stretch here.

But... Tampa are winners of six in a row, and are 7-2-1 in their last 10... Detroit are 8-1-1 in their last 10. These two are definitely rounding into form at the right time here. We've won 6 of our last 7 now. We play Tampa and Detroit both once, with Detroit on the last day of the year.

Only way Hawks would retain 50% for this and the next 5 years is if he is traded for a good haul, and future considerations that include Jones back to the Hawks in the summer.

So, strictly a rental.

Hawks could do the same thing next year, and the following year until they become a NHL team with the Sharks.
