Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

LOL at Dubas continuing to F-up the pens. How hilarious it is...

In what way is claiming a replacement-level player off waivers f-ing anything up?

There are things to criticize Dubas for, but a waiver claim?

If you're laughing at Puljujarvi, he came in for one year, played at a 0.3ppg as a rotating healthy scratch. It'd be like if Lorentz asked if he could be released

Konecny and Sanheim have to be the two most overrated players to ever wear a team Canada jersey... Have these guys ever played a playoff game yet?

Konecny has worse playoff numbers than Marner.

Tampa is creeping up, only 2 points back of Toronto
Imagine not getting home ice with the goaltending they have gotten so far. Then again, Evil guaranteed they win the Atlantic.

Stone cold guarantee, man. Now, will it make a difference? I have no idea, but it should at least give them a more comfortable path to the second round, and it will force Florida to play Tampa or Ottawa in the first round.

Tampa now only 2 points back of the Leafs.

Tampa is the best team in the Atlantic this year and honestly it isn't close. We've rode some puck luck to a better record than our play, Tampa has done the opposite.

I expect things to normalize down the stretch and we'll end up 3rd again. Maybe we can cling to second over the Panthers but I doubt it.

Except the Leafs have beaten them twice and quite handily. They have no chance unless Vasi finds a way to stop them or our goalies fall off a cliff.

Nah. I don't think people are actually watching Tampa play. They beat up on mediocre teams like Ottawa, Montreal, etc., which is why their goal differential is so high, and then they promptly lose whenever they play a half decent team. The Leafs have rolled over them this season, and would do so again if they meet in the playoffs.

This is not really true except for the Leafs have had their way.

They have smoked a lot of good teams this year and are just like the Leafs.

Win a few in a row. Lose a few.

Pretty much like every team in the league outside Win and Was so far.
