And you say people from outside Toronto hate Leafs fans why?
One of these situations tbh

ref just stole a good goal to NYI with 9 second left
Ref wanted to keep his parlay bet alive.
Lmao
This after the league held a presentation with the media at the GM meetings last week, explaining how goalie interference works. This league is led by a bunch of stupid money hungry assholes. It stinks and is pee wee league from Bettman down.Holy f*** that is a horrendous call. It might be the Duchene of goalie interference. Like, what are they seeing to say no goal????
The non-reaction by Elvis should tell you everything.
I don't know how video review watches that play and agrees with the call on the ice. They can confirm an offside by the length of a pubic hair, but they can't see a goalie initiate contact with a player outside of the crease? The only reason this happened is because of the team the call went against. This after the league held a presentation with the media at the GM meetings last week, explaining how goalie interference works. What's most frustrating is that the NHL (and this stretches over to the MLB as well) implement these video reviews, spend X amount of minutes at times trying to get the call right, and they still mess it up.I don't know how video review watches that play and agrees with the call on the ice. I'm hard-pressed to believe that this goal would have been disallowed if the team that scored wasn't the Islanders. What's most frustrating is that the NHL (and this stretches over to the MLB as well) implement these video reviews, spend X amount of minutes at times trying to get the call right, and they still mess it up.
Chychrun gets 9 per year for 8 years.
Are prices going to skyrocket? The only way the Leafs could have been in on him is by trading Mo.
Interesting to see what Eckblad and Bennett sign for

Why? Are you claiming that the league specifically has it out for the Isles? because I see no evidence of that
No, not the Islanders specifically, but I think refs and the league are routinely, and maybe sometimes subconsciously, biased against lower-end players and teams. Happens in every sport. Why? Are you claiming that the league specifically has it out for the Isles? because I see no evidence of that
His jfresh card from Jan. 1st:
Good finisher and producer but that does seem like a ton for a 2nd pairing guy who plays soft minutes, doesnt PK and takes a ton of dumb penalties. Even if it is a bit of luck (having Thompson in net has worked wonders for everyone) , it seems to be working though.
The covid freeze era is over and, yea, salaries are set to explode. We would have had 50+ players 9 million and over by now without the freeze.

It’s not about agreeing with the call, it’s about having enough evidence to overturn it. Can you definitively say his skate is outside the crease from that angle?I don't know how video review watches that play and agrees with the call on the ice. I predict there'll be some hot takes now and by this time next season Rantanen will be fine. He's a talented player, he'll figure it out. It's been 2 months since the Rantanen/Necas trade.
103 forwards have played 300+ 5v5 minutes since then.
Points/60 rankings:
65. Necas: 1.68
103. Rantanen: 0.75
104 forwards have played 50+ PP minutes since then.
Points/60 rankings:
20. Necas: 7.96
74. Rantanen: 3.45
Necas has been meh 5v5 and Rantanen still has good advanced numbers but man, being dead last on that 5v5 list must be getting frustrating for Rantanen as it looks more and more he could be a MacKinnon creation as an overall elite producer. HIs PP numbers arnt great either and picking up a 2nd assist on an EN goal last night is masking how down bad he really is at producing right now. Kinda hoping he has a monster stretch coming up (just not against us) as he adjusts to the Stars. People already calling him Huberdeau 2.0.
