I noticed twice this playoffs that the broadcast team mentions a goalie had his shutout streak snapped in a game.

I get it when a guy has actually been credited with a shutout and it carries forward to another game or two, but yesterday they talked about Samsonov having his snapped at like 77 minutes. Like is this really the type of shit we are reaching for in stats now?

I doubt that the Oilers or Kings would fare any better than the Stars in a first round matchup with the knights. Well, we knew that Vegas would be in playoff mode when the shooting started for real.

Funny thing is Vegas is one of the worst road teams that made the playoffs and Vegas is actually pretty damn good at home.

The only bright side is Oettinger bounced back for Dallas. They will need that again from him, but Dallas has to figure out how to score. Not sure how that's going to happen with Cassidy now going to be able to match lines the way he wants.

The Islanders and Caps aren't regular playoff teams in a normal year. They were 20th and 27th in GF/GA differential respectively this season. They're both awful.

Conversely the Kings had the 10th best GF/GA differential in the league this season.
