Can he trade KK to a third party broker (like a Chicago or Anaheim) that would hold the 50% retention then, move him to the Oilers? Of course it would cost double draft pix coming from Edmonton though. At that point probably becomes too costly really, even though I love Klim and think he has potential here.
Ya, that becomes far too expensive for a 4th liner. I liked Klim when he was here, but he still hasn’t taken the steps defensively to be trusted on a championship calibre team. Didn’t care for his contract threat tactics either.

He had a puck wide open in front of the net and it looks like he purposely avoided the pass
I have to be honest,if I had to pick between the two players and contracts I’d pick Marner (but only slightly). Marners highs are much higher, but the amount of psychological gymnastics that both seem to succumb to is painful.

Starting to look like the Leafs might actually pull it off and beat Boston in the playoffs.
