IIRC the Leafs offered Hakanpaa the same deal he took in Dallas. Would have loved to have this mammoth on the blueline.

Nice that he held him up at the end too. Hakanpaa was someone I would have loved to have added to this team.

Throw Calgary in there as well. I wouldn't mind if Vegas, Seattle, and LA dominate the division for the next few years :laugh:

Now that Devils fans and the rest of HF are in a snit over something as simple as last night's win, imagine the meltdown if McDavid fails to make the post-season this year.

Cant wait to see Mathew Knies with the team. Feel like its been a decade since I saw someone finish checks on a consistent basis on this team

Edmonton loses another one.

You just hate to see it.:sarcasm:

Anyone else find it strange that Edmonton is trying to build a western version of our team?
I dunno why but hey they are free to do what they want and honestly kind of doing us a favour by not re-signing some of them.

My sens IRL friend was making fun of us saying they are coming. I just smiled and said we'll see. He's eating a lot of crow atm.

Shane Wright

Shane Wright is headed to Palm Desert, Calif., to make his American Hockey League debut as he was re-assigned on a conditioning loan by the Seattle Kraken.

Wright has been a healthy scratch in the last five games, which led to him being sent down to the Coachella Valley Firebirds. This will open up five potential AHL games for Wright — two against Calgary, one against San Diego and two against Henderson during the two-week loan.

“He comes back to Seattle on Dec. 4, and then if they’re going to send him to the World Junior Hockey Championships, there is one game in between the end of the conditioning stint and the World Junior camp, and that game is against the Montreal Canadiens — and you’re gonna want to know that Shane Wright will want to play very much against the Canadiens,”

````````````````````````````````````````````
He's played his first two games already, and he has three goals in two games. They really need to reevaluate the ability to send prospects to the AHL. Some players, too good for Juniors, but not good enough for the NHL, really should have that option.
I havent been paying attention to what type of usage Wright has been given in Seattle maybe they need to get him better linemates or more minutes in the NHL
I’d be ok with a little Sens win streak to get them out of draft lotto position.
They have a good bunch of young forwards and Sanderson looks to be a very good D but Chabot while ok is not been very good. Zub can be a UFA at the end of the year so they’ll have to pay through the nose to retain. The rest of the D is awful and goaltending is middling to poor.
Looks more and more that Patty Kane was responsible for a lot of DeBrincats success will be interesting to see what they do with him and another 2 years of Giroux.
id like to see them repeat their pattern and finish strong just short of the playoffs. I sure wouldn’t want them to get a big time guy like Berard.
Wait until Debrincat's qualifying offer comes around. Curious to see if they sign him or not.
I assume hes gone by the trade deadline. Funny cause they were talking extension before the season started but 2 months in theyre in last.
I'm no Sens supporter, but I wasn't expecting them to be this bad. Do they even have the money to sign Debrincat if/when the time comes?
They do. They'll probably buy out or dump Zaitsev with a pick to open up money. Their core is locked up so they don't need much up front.
They'll need to revamp their defensive pairings though. Chabot, Sanderson and Thomson is a fine start but it needs a lot more. Not sure they can keep Zub but they do need a quality top pairing defenseman in some way.
It seems no fans are upset with his usage. He's one of those stuck in the middle guys... not quite ready for better usage in the NHL, way too good for the OHL... and even pretty good at the AHL level.
Definitely this. He's averaging about 8 minutes a game and has been a healthy scratch more often than not. Seems strange for a second year team to proceed in such a manner with a high pick. Then again, Seattle is in second place in their division.
