Am I the only one noticing that teams are utilizing the flip pass/clear from their own zone way more than usual? Tampa was doing it a lot the other night, and I noticed both Edmonton and L.A. doing the same yesterday.

It's better than off the glass and out because it's easier to clear the zone without icing it that way. It's been a thing for a long time.

It gives time for your forwards to chase out of the zone and create a turnover as well.

It’s also riskier if they miscue .. but players are so skilled now they can place it pretty well

Probably less risky than off the boards, even if they miscue, because a miscue when trying to go off the boards is usually an over the glass penalty or directly to the other team with in-zone possession.

100% but miscues don't happen that often, off the glass is always the safer option but can lead to more icings.

Teams seem pretty keen on sealing off the walls, so off the glass and out isn't actually getting out of the zone as much as the previously referenced flip pass/clear.

Bruins make every rush look dangerous. And somehow are able to intercept all Panther passes .

Absolute joke that a company that the current head of DoPS has a stake in is leaving free merch for an NHL team. Jfc this league could not be more blatant.

1st; agreed.

2nd; before I read the tweet I saw the pic and I read it as "Own The Women" and I was like WTF

note to self: always read the tweet b4 looking at the pic LOL

It would be pretty nice if Florida could at least extend the series to 6. The longer that series goes and the earlier we can end ours, the longer we can get our bruised bodies back healthy. Even 3-4 days off for these guys would be nice.

Barkov hasn't showed up all series, I would love to see him score a goal or two tonight.
I haven’t watched a lot of this series but what I have watched he’s been the definition of mediocre. They don’t have the talent to offset that.

It would be real sweet if Tkachuk could do something. I find him and Barkov have been pretty garbage in this series
