I can't find a photo showing the center ice logo before the mid 90s. There was a time when it was 2 small logos inside the circle. I had season's tickets from 1978-80 but can't recall the circle.

Didn't it have a little red leaf looking logo around the dot with Northlands Coliseum going around it?

You're right. I think the Oiler logos were on the outside. Confirmed by @yukoner88.

Sort of. It was supposed to be the exterior of the Coliseum, probably up to when the name change from the Edmonton Exhibition Association to Northlands.

Just found this and looks like the star you were talking about.

The McDavid rush goal and the Draisaitl pass to McDavid goal are both better than some of the plays in that top 10. Maybe they don't want to put McDavid and Draisaitl in the top 10s as much because they don't want to oversaturate the top 10s with Oiler highlights. God forbid the NHL should do a good job marketing itself.
