I guess this is the first time I really paid attention and sorry if it's been discussed but the Kings start of the season schedule sucks. The league starts tonight and the Kings don't play their first game until the fourth night of the year and then get two more days off before playing back to back on the road? Washington will be finished with their third game about the time the Kings drop the puck on their first.

Guess it all evens out but just odd to only have 3 games in the first 10 days of the season.
