You know watching this Aves/Yotes game got me thinking about the ineptitude of the flames. Copied this from somewhere but we should never forget.

Flames since winning cup:

92: 1st round exit
93: 1st round exit
94: 1st round exit
95: 1st round exit
96: 1st round exit
97: no playoffs
98: no playoffs
99: no playoffs
00: no playoffs
01: no playoffs
02: no playoffs
03: no playoffs
04: finals!
06: 1st round exit
07: 1st round exit
08: 1st round exit
09: 1st round exit
10: no playoffs
11: no playoffs
12: no playoffs
13: no playoffs
14: no playoffs
15: 2nd round exit
16: no playoffs
17: 1st round exit
18: no playoffs
19: 1st round exit (#1 seed)
20: verge of 1st round exit
Consistency.

Arizona really proving how awful that play in format was from the get go. Team should not have sniffed post season and are getting their lunch handed to them. Kuemper deserved better

Pierre McTipsy? Hawks were the gold standard of trash for a long time with Keith and Seabrook on their team before they lucked into kane. 8 k attendance and a horrible product so enough with that class organization when they brought in Seabrook and Keith noise.

Surprise, surprise, NHL's gimmick play in round back fires spectacularly.

Enjoy the TV ratings you will have now Bettman. I'm sure NBC will be impressed and you probably turned more people off hockey in the desert if that was even possible.

Back to back games with a converted TD.

I mean we lost on some unlucky bounces ... what Arizona is doing is straight up just giving up and quitting on your coach/franchise.

You can't lose 7-1 back to back in this league unless you don't give a crap. Gut less.

My mom asked if Arizona is out, I said yes, she said "good, F Bettman's team". Even my mom knows the favoritism towards the desert mutts lol

Arizona giving up the double Brazils. You hate to see it.

Colorado was my pick coming from the West, they are scary good.

I legit thought the Arizona game was a replay of last night, when I saw the score. So I never bothered to watch.

Turns out it was....ha hahaha

Didn’t watch this 7-1 game. Noticed Hall was 0-0-0 and a -5 with 2 shots total in both 7-1 losses. He looked disengaged and disinterested in the last game. How’d he look this game?

Wouldn't be surprised if their GM resigns after this debacle.

Sad thing is, (mostly) everyone loves an underdog story. With the Hawks, Habs, Coyotes and to an extent, the Blue Jackets all upsetting and taking out what were likely playoff bound teams in the qualification round, the NHL will call this format a success regardless of how lopsided some of these first round series' go or have went.

Sad, but likely true. It felt weird cheering for mostly favorites in round 1, as I usually go for the underdog if it's a series I don't care about. But not this year.

The NHL can say that to save face all they want, I guarantee their TV partners in Sportsnet and NBC are not happy.

Edmonton and Pittsburgh will be picking before Arizona and Chicago in the draft.

Vegas and Colorado steam rolled through Arizona and Chicago in 5 games each.

Great system , Bettman ! It really planned out well.

Edit : Arizona’s traded pick **

"Look out NBA, the NHL might be able to take advantage of a pandemic and garner TV ratings!"
