Seriously?

@FriedgeHNIC: Henrik Sedin takes 0:22 shift to extend his consecutive games streak and leaves. He should've waved like George Costanza.

****ing ridiculous. Should have worn a sash while he was out there.

Lol Sedin.

I hope Chicago resting half their team comes back to bite them in the butt.

Well, can't say Kings didn't have the chance to lock home ice. But I also think if Kings exit early it won't be because of court disadvantage.

Although I agree with you that the KINGS blew a great opportunity, they did do the same thing last year. That turned out OK.

Different situation, though. The Kings went into beast mode after the Carter trade and went 12-3-5 to end the season. Yeah, they lost OT and SO games to end the season, but you have to look at the forest through the trees.

This season they've gone 11-7-2 over the last 20 leading up to the playoffs with an abysmal road record over that span (3-5-3).

I believe that this team has a switch, but to ignore a terrible road record is a little short sighted when discussing the merits of securing home ice in the playoffs.

By the by, we're 0-4-2 in our last six on the road.

Westgarth scored 2 goals in an 8-3 loss today.

I just thinking if the new playoff format had been in effect this season. We'd actually have home ice advantage. And we be playing the Canucks. Of course the schedules would be different. Team like Detroit and Winnipeg would have completely different schedules. But, just for fun...

Division 1 Playoffs:

1. Anaheim Ducks
4. San Jose Sharks

2. Los Angeles Kings
3. Vancouver Canucks

Division 2 Playoffs:

1. Chicago Blackhawks
4. Winnipeg Jets

2. St. Louis Blues
3. Minnesota Wild

Division 3 Playoffs:

1.Montreal Canadiens
4. Detroit Red Wings

2. Boston Bruins
3. Toronto Maple Leafs

Division 4 Playoffs:

1. Pittsburgh Penguins
4. New York Islanders/Ottawa Senators

2. Washington Capitals
3. New York Rangers

So, the Jets would be in and the either the Islanders or Senators would be out. And the Kings would have home ice and the Canucks would not.
