The Jackets could be a dangerous 8th seed, Hot Goalie.

Kind of glad the Kings are not a one seed.
 
Yep, once the games tighten up their team full of grinders is going to be tough to beat. I still think Nashville will buy their way into the playoffs ahead of them, but who knows.
 
Watching the Bruins, I don't think they stand a chance against the Penguins unless they somehow shut down their offense. I think Montreal may go deep this year as well. They're firing on all cylinders of late. A rematch of the 1993 Finals would be nice, especially to exact revenge 20 years later.

I've been secretly hoping for it for a while. Just didn't want to get too far ahead of myself. Is it officially time to talk about a rematch? :naughty:

Christ, the Kings would hammered that midget (as in size) team into submission.
 
Well Philly has to start their unbelievable run this month.

They can only afford (three, max) more regulation losses.

Lets see if Philly has it in them.

Since playing the puck from the bench last year against the Kings Ryan Clowe has yet to score a goal...
The Pens go all in and trade a ton of picks for iginla and others, media hands them Stanley Cup, they then lose Crosby...
The Jackets are sitting in a playoff spot in April, while the Rangers are dangerously close to missing the playoffs...
Toronto fires Burkie and now sits in a playoff spot in the East.

I seriously have a crush on the hockey gods and thier karma right now! :D

They don't. I predicted in July they wouldn't make the playoffs and they won't. And in addition to losing Coburn and Mez to injuries, Talbot has a broken leg. They have to win 10 reg games to get that 8th spot and the shame of it is, that Snider will see this weekend as fool's gold and by Wens. the Flyers will throw away Couturier for a 'quick fix' , like they always do. I'd rather see them continue to let the defense prospects they broutht up play and get their minutes and realize that they are not a good enough team to go deep. Leave the youth and future of the team alone for a change.
But tht won't happen, by Wens fif not sooner, an overated and overprice JayBo will be flying East...
Given the veiled comments Snider gave in interviews the last few days, he still has his foot on the gas pedal

it's crazy to see just out of control PHI has become. Snider needs to stop drinking his own kool-aid and realize the Flyers aren't going to do anything. i wonder if Homer at any point has told Snider 'enough is enough', we need to just ride this out and let things mature. stop making bad moves for a quick fix. the old man is losing his ****
 
Dallas and Anaheim have three in a row against each other.

--- We'd better hope none of these go to OT.
---assuming none do, if Anaheim sweeps these they pretty much will have the division in hand
---- if Dallas sweeps these, they'll have a chance to make the playoffs and assuming the Kings keep their level of play up..we'll have a chance to catch Anaheim

Yea, i'm torn. If Dallas could take 2/3 in regulation and have the Kings win 2/3 against PHX, MIN and EDM, they could be 6 back of ANA with 2 head-to-head match ups left. However, were ANA to win the series, it could pretty much sew up a playoff spot for the Kings, as they have probably the 2nd best chance to get in of the teams 8-12, behind STL.
 
That Zues deal is a head scratcher but anything that slows the Hawks down is a good thing.

First time watching the NBC hockey pre broadcast. Forgot how truly useless, awful and east coast centric the show is.

Roenick is such a bad guy and so terrible at this job that it sucks with him having such a big forum to spew his nonsense from.

Pure crap.
 
Good for zus to be on a real contender. I was always a fan of his even though he was slow as ****. He was one of the key veteran pieces to getting back on our feet after years of rebuilding. He played his 3rd line role pretty well.
 
nieuwendyk needs to be fired, but before, that he does the kings a favor by trading jagr to us.
