The Ducks are retiring Paul Kariya's #9 today, and in his honor, I'll post scoring a goal against Kelly Hrudey while both teams don the ugliest uniforms in hockey history.
I hope the Ducks spank Buffalo just to put a little more salt in the wound.
holy crap that is just insane, I don't think I have ever seen that many shots by a team in 1 periodChicago outshot 34-6 by Tampa Bay in the 2nd period.
I am okay with this... Also never hurts to have the other team in town do well, when you just are abysmal, puts pressure on the under achievers.
Well most teams would feel pressure, not sure about our current bunch.
So bizarre watching skilled talent deceive opposing defensemen to cut to the middle of the ice in order to shoot from a prime scoring area.
I don't think there will be playoff hockey anywhere in SoCal this spring, even with how pathetic the Pacific is, gaping holes on both rosters and aging players.
Johnny Hockey is going to have a tough time keeping his head up and avoiding hits his entire career. He is a very talented young player though.Filthiest hands in the league?
He is a bigtime star, and still improving. I know people have a hard time accepting that a guy 5'9 160 can be this dominant, but he is.

I agree, and Johnny Gaudreau is likely shifty enough to avoid most hits. I am just saying it is going to take great awareness on his part to avoid getting injured at some point in his career. It's hard to hit guys who are 5'9" 160, there isn't much to hit. I've always thought it was much easier catching guys who were bigger than me, the skin and bones hockey players are elusive.
Blackhawks broadcast team is just laying into the Blackhawks.
"The zamboni is only going to have to clean one side of the ice with how little they've played in the other end."
