Those comments about Quick/Doughty remind me so much of old threads about Brodeur/Niedermayer. My best advice is to enjoy the Cups and they'll get their individual accolades eventually.

hey thank you, could definately see that.

Paul Maurice says that Bryan Little is done for the reg season with a compression fracture of the T6 vertebrae. #NHLJets

From a hit by Stralman...ouch...

That was last week, Maurice was so pissed off, he blew his stack and got tossed from the game.

Ouch :\ :(

Well that's all dependent on what the thread is! Quick is great in the Doughty/Kopi threads, Doughty is great in the Quick/Kopi threads, Quick/Doughty are great in the Kopi threads. But not in their own ones. Oh and their all just a product of the system. The fact that they are the three most contributing factors to the system? Irrelevant!

This is so spot on. The player in question is never great, but is always supported by their great teammates...who are not great either

I think I convinced at least some people of what may have happened with Richards.

Some still have reading comprehension issues.

Lombardi's a gangster. Circumventing the cap like it's nobody's business. Can't wait for Brown to have an "accident".

Dean Lombardi is a puppy-eating egomaniac with no regard for players. However, Stan Bowman is just shrewd and creative.

One thing with Ladd is the lack of playoff production. He's always just been sort of a guy on the roster. Which is probably all the Hawks need if their core guys all do what they do.

It sounds like he's decent in the playoffs when he's not relied on to produce so naturally going to Chicago is perfect for him.

Dean better do something. It'll be a dogfight in the West again between a few teams. I don't see the Caps getting by whichever team comes out of the West.

You need to add Anaheim to this statement.

I tend to agree, but if it's a WCF rematch of last year, I'd probably lean towards the quacks. Can't take another Chicago cup.

idk... Bowman is going all in with this deal. it will be interesting to see how Dean responds if he does at all

That was my big worry; sort of like last year with Sekera.

Us getting Sekera was a big benefit (AT THE TIME, SHUT UP) to us, but was also a big slap in Chicago's face by keeping him away (I SAID AT THE TIME, SHUT UP). Teams like Chicago, Anaheim et. al. loading up doesn't just help them, it can be argued it directly hurts us. It's an arms race at the top and we don't have the assets to play.

I have a bad feeling that Jim Benning is going to take Chicago scraps for Hamhuis and Vrbata

Chicago always seems to pull this crap off despite the fact they have no assets, as said above the Kings don't have much in the way of assets, and Bob Murray has a shy trigger finger (he seems absolutely defiant in trading his first despite having a ridiculously good prospect pool, even if it's a little light on forwards)
