Only one realistic way to beat the Hawks. Your top guys have to outscore their top guys. Kings didn't, Blues did.

Toews, Kane, Seabrook = 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points
Doughty, Kopitar, Gaborik, Lucic, Toffoli, Carter = 1 goal, 0 assists, 1 point

Toews, Kane, Seabrook = 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points
Steen, Pietrangelo, Backes, Tarasenko = 4 goals, 4 assists, 8 points

i wish the league would retroactively punish blatant dives. For example that Perry "high stick" last night where the video evidence shows there was no contact and perry grabs his face and rolls around for a call.

I think that is the only way to impact the gamesmanship going on at the moment with dives.

Man its brutal listening to the Duck announcers go on and on about what a dirty high stick that was as the video evidence (playing as they were talking) repeatedly and clearly showed that what they were saying was just simply not even close to being true. Yet they go on and on. No wonder that fan base is so misinformed half the time. They learn the game from Hayward.

I've been saying this for years. Hayward has been poisoning that fanbase with his stupidity and why it's so difficult to talk hockey with them. He's basically a drunk mega homer who was given a mic.

And yes I know Jim Fox has an annoying upswing, lurking Ducks fans. :naughty:

Article with a chart (5 x5 scoring changes and shot generation) that measures the prime performance years for NHL forwards

Performance by forwards peaks at about 23.

Pinning down a player's prime performance years:

http://www.tsn.ca/pinning-down-a-player-s-prime-performance-years-1.388514

Why are these findings so important? For starters, the NHL's current contract system bars young players from reaching unrestricted free agency, generally, until they are in their mid-to-late 20s. By the time these forwards hit the open market, many have already played through the prime of their careers on relatively cap-friendly contracts.

Perry is such a POS. Anyone have a video or gif of it?

Tough Sledding for Jake, 0 goals this year:
Jakub Voracek has 50 shots on goal through the season's first 12 games, ranking sixth in the league.

But at least Couturier is back tonight, thankfully, a player who actually plays positionally sound on both sides of the puck in all 3 zones and getting their best PK'er and defender back should take some prssure off whatever goalie is starting tonight vs Flames.

Because the goaltender(s) had NOTHING to do with the outcome of either games?
