Always make sure puck is in net ,, Don't start celebrating

If he just stuck his stick out and made an effort he could have poked it in net... Instead he started coasting and celebrating

Dallas up a goal late in SJ.

I want to see the Sharks tie this. One of the rare times when I'd like both teams to get points. I really want the Sharks to stay in 5th so the Blues gotta play Vancouver. And I'd have no issues with Dallas finishing 8th.

So its going to be Detroit or Columbus for the 8th seed. I guess its possible Detroit wins out and gets the 7 but unlikely.

What happened to the :ducks?? They were on our tails for most of the season, only like 3 points behind us for a good portion of the season too.

As usual, Dallas is choking away a golden opportunity. Still, they play CBJ and Detroit, still not out of it.

It doesn't look like Ladd or Big Buff will be seeing the playoffs. That'll be 3 years in a row. They haven't been since they were traded and we haven't won a series since we traded them. Hmmm?

Com'on now. Jets dont have anywhere near the talent level or prospects like the Hawks. Its a complete rebuild including their pipeline. When their centers are Little, Antropov, Jokinen, and Wellwood, you're hurting. Thats the Hawks several years ago with Lang, Smolinski and others. Their defense with Bogosian and Trouba will be soild.

Hawks are a great team with lots of high end talent but as good as we have been this year we don't have the physical clutch scoring beasts that these guys were. Ladd and Buff aren't good enough to lead a team every night and be counted on like Kane and Toews but when teams focused on our high end players in the playoffs our depth with these guys was so strong nobody could shut us down. It's like our 2010 depth players needed us for them to succeed and vice versa. We haven't proved that we can win a round without them yet.

I remember when we had our purge Kane was saying the Hawks would be ok cuz we retained all our high end players and that those guys that were traded "were just depth guys"! He and the Hawks have been eating those words for the last 2 playoffs. Saad and Bickell at times is the closest thing we have to the Buff, Ladd and Brouwers of those teams.

Oh the myth of Andrew Ladd. Its my favorite of all. With the Hawks in the playoffs Andrew Ladd: 36 games, 6 goals, 10 points. In 11 games, Brian Bickell has 4 goals and 6 points. Buff and Versteeg were studs in 09-10 but Ladd just wasn't much of anything. People have these fond memories of him that didn't exist.

Like the memory of him scoring the Game 4 OT winner against Vancouver that prevented us from going 3-1 to the Nucks. Or how about the goal he scored against the Sharks in Game 2 that helped us win that game. Or when he destroyed Kesler in Game 6 against the Nucks 2009. I never said his numbers were all world but come playoff time he steps up his game. Ladd over Bickell all day every day. Bickell will never play like Ladd cause he thinks he's more than he is.
