Detroit looks like morons for not bothering to cover Ovechkin on the 4 on 3. That is his only dimension for the most part. Neither team played any defense, ugly game.

If anyone remembers 2005 CBJ draft pick Kirill Starkov, he's managed to find yet another reason to get fired from a team - this time game fixing and betting against his own team. He was in the top 3 in scoring in the Danish league at the time. He was kicked off his team and banned from the Danish national team as well. What a waste of talent.

Oh man.

I've heard about that sort of stuff happening a lot in low-mid tier pro leagues. Players in these are serious enough about the sport to want to make a living off it, but the leagues are too weak to combat gamblers and match fixers effectively.

The Danish league is semi-pro, so only the top players actually get paid and likely not that much. They probably can make more money gambling than actually playing.

Starkov's priority has always been money (he refused to report back to the WHL when reassigned by the CBJ to his junior team as an overager because he wanted to be earning money). He had the talent to eventually make it to the NHL but too many other off-ice issues to actually do it.

Anyone else thinking the new white Rangers sweaters have a CBJ look to them? Darker blue and with the red pants? The transformation is nearly complete.

N. Vancouver, B.C.
Ottawa gets a point.
NJ gets a point as well but they blew a lead with under 2 minutes to play.
Detroit looks like they'll get 2 points because the Canucks are a bunch of useless bums(except for Lack)
